About

Susanne West is a writer, poet, professor of psychology and creativity coach. She has worked with individuals and  groups for over thirty years, specializing in psychospiritual growth and transformation, writing and creative and intuitive development.

Susanne is the former Chair of the Department of Liberal Arts and Director of the BA Psychology Program in The College of Undergraduate Studies  at John F. Kennedy University. She also taught courses at JFKU in the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. Susanne received the Distinguished Teaching Award at JFK. Susanne was also on the faculty of the Psychosynthesis Training Program for seven years and was a graduate advisor at the Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center.

Susanne has developed numerous processes and programs that she presents in universities, community organizations and private settings. These include Deep Writing, Soul Solutions: Awakening to the Power of Intuition, Poetry and Transformation, Around the Blocks: Guided Imagery for Working with Obstacles, Psychospiritual Dimensions of Caregiving and others.

She is the author of Soul Care for Caregivers: How to Help Yourself While Helping Others. Her first poetry collection, entitled Subterranean Light, was released in 2021.
