Be Ready

I
Be ready
when a dot
of Light
pierces
your curtain of tears,

when a duck
wants your attention,
has something important to say,

when a monk
walks by
and whispers,
“Happiness arrives
when you welcome
Silence.”

II
Be ready
to leave
it all
if the compass
spins and spins,

to glimpse
a string of stars
in the midst
of a bad dream,

to see
your ancestors
free,
guided by your mom
who found Light
in her precious
last hours.
